“We treat people, not teeth. We treat our patients as family and establish personal relationships with them. We pamper them and make them feel special and important. We carefully listen to their desires and present options to help them achieve their goals. We make their visits as comfortable and worry free as possible. We help them relax and enjoy their time with us.”
Dr. Nimisha Somaiya graduated from one of the top ten dental schools in India, and practiced general dentistry for several years in her home country before moving to the United States. In the states, she completed an additional three years of advanced training, two at Southern Illinois University and the third year was in Residency at Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton where she earned her certificate in IV Sedation (conscious sedation).
She is a graduate of the externship program at the prestigious Midwest Implant Institute where she received extensive hands-on training in implant dentistry. Dr. Somaiya was among the 2015 winners of Dayton Business Journal’s 40 under 40’ Award for outstanding achievement in personal, professional and community service.
In addition to her private practice in Bellbrook, Dr. Somaiya is on staff at Miami Valley Hospital, where she previously held a faculty position in the dental program. She continues to be a resource to her colleagues due to her extensive experience and certification in IV sedation. She is passionate about continually pursuing education and training to ensure her patients receive the latest advancements in dentistry.
She is a member of the American Dental Association, Ohio Dental Association, Seattle Study Club, Dayton Dental Society, Academy of General Dentistry and American Association of Women Dentists. She also serves as a board member of Dayton Dental Society, as well as the Peer Review Committee.
With a passion for giving back to the community, there’s a good chance you will find the entire Seva Dental team volunteering at local community events. Dr. Somaiya also supports Culture Works by annually donating dental services for their silent auction fundraiser.
Beyond dentistry, Dr. Somaiya loves spending quality time with her husband and son exploring local attractions, cooking, traveling, and reading.
